BIOSERVICE, Veterinarian Laboratory obtains the highest number of patents in Peru in 2009


According to news published on January 19th in El Comercio, for INDECOPI, 2009 has represented a poor year in aspects of trademarks and patents applications requested by national people and/or enterprises. It is worthwhile to mention that 657 patents applications were requested by foreign enterprises and only 36 were done by peruvian enterprises, among which pharmacological enterprises stood out because they leaded the ranking of applications.

Between them, it is important to say that BIOSERVICE, Microbiological Laboratory was the private Peruvian Enterprise that obtained the highest number of national patents conferred in 2009 by INDECOPI, being the last one the patent titled "PROCEDURE FOR ELABORATING A BIOINSECTICIDE WHICH CONTAINS BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS STRAINS", with resolution Nº 001727-2009/DIN-INDECOPI registered in the Patent of Invention Registration Office on December, 2009 with validity until March, 2025.
