As part of the programmed activities for the celebration of his Silver Jubilee; The “Carlos Camacho Saravia” Promotion of the Faculty of Veterinary of San Marcos University organized, with great success, the denominated “Master Lectures in dogs, birds and Marketing and Public Health” developed in the Aurelio Malaga Alba Auditorium of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of San Marcos University on June 26th, July 3rd and 9th respectively, all of which convened a great number of assistants, between professionals and students of Veterinary Medicine and related careers.
Coordinators of these conferences were: DVM Hector Guzman in the conferences of dogs; DVM Luis Monasi in the conferences of birds and Mg DVM Robert Tinoco in the conferences of Marketing and Public Health; all of them, members of the “Carlos Camacho” Promotion.
Master lectures in dogs were performed by Dr. Ernesto Hutter from Argentine, who exposed about “Chronic Hepatic Insufficiency in dogs, Pancreatitis in dogs and Jaundice in dogs and cats”.
Master lectures in birds had the participation of recognized professionals as Dr. Raphael Fernandez (Merial – Invetsa) with his theme “Differential Diagnosis of the main respiratory diseases in birds”; Dr. Sergio L. Vieira (Ilender), with “Vision of the Avian Industry in the coming years”; Dr. Jorge Xavier (Phartec – Vetanco), with his lecture “Future alternatives to guarantee intestinal integrity and health” and Dr. Francisco Ríos (Schering-Plough Animal Health – Intervet) with “Use of recombinant vaccines in the Avian Industry”.
Also, Master lectures in Marketing and Public Health counted with the participation of top professionals as Mg. Carlos Kamisaki Sotomayor, Corporative Manager of Human Resources of TREBOL CELIMA ROCA who lectured about “Oportunities and threats in the competitiveness of the Veterinarian”; while the lecture “Control of rodents in Public Health” was developed byMsC. DVM Guillermo Calderón (Aveagro).
Besides, Ing. Domingo Elías Silva Santiesteban, Director of the Postgrade School of San Ignacio de Loyola University presented the theme “Value chain in the Livestock Industry” and finally, DVM. MPh. PhD. Manuel Moro Paz, member of the National Center of Investigation Resources - Comparative Medicine Division of the United States (NHI) shared his studies and investigations through his lecture “Use and abuse of antibiotics in Public Health”.
It is worthwhile to mention that it’s the first time that a group performs this type of activities with the purpose of giving up-to date themes of essential importance in Veterinary Medicine and which, thanks to the participation of extraordinary lecturers, met the expectations generated in all assistants.
As a corollary of these activities, Reinmark SRL offered the closing buffet.
